Danny, Ellie and I studied the book YOU ARE A BADASS AT MAKING MONEY by Jen Sincero together. I loved our little bookclub! It was the second time I read it. We decided to meet over the phone once a week after each chapter (Ellie lives a few hours away). Ellie is in her last year of college, I am just finishing my online interior design program and Danny is always interested in money, work and investments. One of the last assignments in the book was to print this quote. It does apply to money and professional endeavors-but to almost anything else we do as humans. I related so much to the fear it describes in the beginning. Could it be true that our light frightens us more than our inadequacies?
I would love to know what you think!

I love the quote. I just took a snapshot of it. I may check out the book. I’ve certainly MADE a lot of money during my life, but the only good investments I’ve made are travel, education (for myself, children and grandchildren) and tithing. The travel exposed me to the glories of God’s creation, education brought more intelligence (also the glory of God) and tithing taught me obedience and strengthened my faith. So, perhaps, those were the best investments I could make.
