A few months ago, I was sitting in our Sunday church service with a prayer in my heart. President Nelson’s talk THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN (October 2024) was on my mind. Here is a small part of what he shared,
My dear brothers and sisters, in a coming day, Jesus Christ will return to the earth as the millennial Messiah. So today I call upon you to rededicate your lives to Jesus Christ. I call upon you to help gather scattered Israel and to prepare the world for the Second Coming of the Lord. I call upon you to talk of Christ, testify of Christ, have faith in Christ, and rejoice in Christ! Come unto Christ and “offer your whole [soul]” to Him.
I was wanting to take his invitations in that talk seriously. I wanted that rededication that he described. I wasn’t sure how best to go about it. I have a friend who is a gifted teacher and writer and her love and testimony of Jesus even surpass those gifts. I went to church pondering on how to convince her to do a MASTERMIND OF JESUS for women. I imagined it being a group of 10 women gathered, learning together and led by my friend. As I sat in church that Sunday hoping for inspiration on how to approach my friend with this hope, my answer was crystal clear-
THIS IS YOUR MASTERMIND GROUP. I knew right then that I was already in the group I was hoping for-actually even better. Diverse ages, women and men, different backgrounds and experience. Some friends, acquaintances and even a few strangers. Diversity in life experiences and faith experiences. My church congregation is my mastermind group and I needed to see it that way. As a group I want to contribute to, serve and love. This was the place to fully participate, come ready and draw closer to HIM that brings us all together.
